After the initial foundation of a sole proprietorship which initially created IT solutions and commercial solutions for health care institutions, SOFTSOLUTION EDV GmbH was established. This innovative and new company created leading software applications for electronic school administration in health care training centers. The education software is a based on a client server architecture.

New technical solutions performing quality assurance for glass are installed at customer facilities to carry out and pass practical tests. The company rents new offices within a local office building called RIZ in Waidhofen / Ybbs and moves the entire operation there.

The school administration software e*SA professional is getting installed in about 1000 schools in Upper Austria. The online support and training is done by in cooperating a user productivity kid. E*SA professional is a web-based application.

Another big move forward for SOFTSOLUTION EDV GmbH was the release of the ground-breaking template and object measuring tool – Virtual Digitizing! During the years satisfied customers asked for more which has been the base for new product inventions providing equipment and software for surface quality control and size assurance systems. Even toughened glasses can now be automatically checked whether or not they meet the European standards.

Christian Krenn is brought on board to organize and grow international markets.

Foundation of the company Softsolution technical software products GmbH providing products like VirtualDigitizing, LineScanner and CulletScanner to the wood-, stone- and glass industry.

In the area of user productivity kid software orders for big accounts like gespag, Voest and Hutchinson 3G support this branch of the company. Partially also services to create e-learning sessions for customers are sold and provided. Several thousand employees have full access to this knowledge database.

The county of Styria decides to implement the school administration software and the application e*SA profession turns out to be the winner of a public bidding process and is implemented as the standard software in many Austrian schools.

Softsolution starts sales activities for school administration software in Switzerland. An order for school administration software from HP Switzerland allows further growth for e'SA professional by incooperating multiple school types into the basic software application.

Softsolution is getting registered as Microsoft certified Business Partner.

The company grows further to employ 21 people. Sales partners in England and Spain present and sell successfully VirtualDigitizing and CulletScanner. Additional sales partners for South America and Australia are incorporated in the team.

In order to sell and service the French speaking areas of Europe perfectly Softsolution founded the daughter company TSP-Solutions France s.a.r.l. based in Lyon, France. Sales manager for this area: Mr. Jacques-Olivier Gaudrée.

Due to the demand in the market the daughter company SGS Trading & Service GmbH (Smart Glass Solution) is being founded to sell and support tempering furnaces and laminating lines.

The total turnover at this point is € 2.4 Mio. The company counts 30 employees now.

To meet quality standards within the glass industry CulletScanner is developed further. Now the entire break pattern of toughened glasses can be scanned and archived. For the integrated quality control in production lines LineScanner gets more and more important.

CulletScanner and the top of the range product LineScanner are an important part for companies who invest in quality control systems to replace manual inspection methods. Time saving and increased productivity are just two of many advantages for customers.

A simple CAD application for glass is now part of the product family. Additional partnerships with equipment suppliers like Hegla, Benteler and Schraml are being established. Even a Japanese based company starts his cooperation with Softsolution.

To serve the North American market FeneTech Inc. signs a partnership contract with Softsolution to sell and service all industrial applications in this area.

The glass thickness and coating sensor is the latest brand new development, which is fully integrated in the LineScanner application. Since October 2009 it is available to be sold to the markets. This sensor is a touch less device to detect glass coatings and glass coating side.

For Scandinavia and Baltic countries a new sales partner is contracted.

Softsolution gets another order for school administration software to be installed in all agricultural school in Upper Austria.

After founding a competence center for school administration software together with HP, another big project for software development was generated. The school administration software WiSion is a web based application and will open a complete new way of organization and communication for 550 schools in Vienna by the end of 2010. 12 major applications drive all parts of school administration: teacher administration, student administration, class schedule creation, class room administration, school project management and accounting including office module and statistical reports.

The turnover for 2010 is consistently growing, even in this rough economic times.
