The EdgeScanner is used to control the edge quality of glass in the 3rd dimension. Regular quality assurance systems can only check the glass surface in its visible area. This means that an important part is missing – the quality evaluation of the glass edge from the side. This can be achieved with the EdgeScanner. The EdgeScanner can either be installed on a fixed position or on a flexible movable device, depending on the requirements of the customers. It is therefore a multiple application tool for edge quality assurance.
